Privacy Policy
This policy explains the main types of data BiteAPE stores and why it is used.
What BiteAPE stores
BiteAPE stores account details through Supabase Auth and learning data such as chosen modules, progress, planner items, notes, saved AI explanations, saved questions, saved study items, quiz or review state, and completion state.
Payments and membership data
PayPal handles payment details. BiteAPE stores membership metadata needed for access control, such as product, tier, status, billing interval, provider, subscription id, trial dates, period dates, and cancellation status. Full card or PayPal payment credentials are not stored by BiteAPE.
AI usage data
BiteAPE may store AI usage events, monthly usage counts, model names, token counts, prompts, saved responses, and timestamps. This supports Study Tools, abuse prevention, cost control, troubleshooting, and soft-cap review.
Support tickets
Contact form submissions are stored as support tickets with product, email address, category, subject, message, status, and optional account id. This provides a support queue without requiring a separate inbox for each product.
Cookies and local device storage
BiteAPE may use essential cookies or browser storage for authentication, security, session handling, and basic app operation. If analytics, advertising, or non-essential tracking is added later, this policy should be updated and consent controls added where required.
Service providers
BiteAPE may rely on providers such as Supabase for authentication and database storage, PayPal for payments, Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection, and AI providers for Study Tools. These services process data only as needed to provide the app.
Retention and rights
Data is kept while needed for account access, learning history, support, safety, accounting, or legal reasons. You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data through the contact form, although some records may need to be retained for billing, security, or legal purposes.
